Inner City Cycling Connection, Inc., a 501(c3) non-profit organization, is inviting you to participate and support our Martin Luther King Jr. classic bike ride to promote testing for the Covid-19 virus. This event is to be held on Monday January 18, 2021 from 7am to 11am. A flyer to promote the event with a map of the cycling route and an official press release have been attached for your review. The theme of this event is: "America Needs Healing."
A detailed description of the event, including the its intent, is described below.
1) Provide designated testing stations for Covid-19 testing. The first location is Marlton behind the Crenshaw Mall. The second location will be at the 2nd Baptist Church off Central Ave., which is pastored by Reverend Epps.
2) Members from the various supporting organizations will be granted testing. The representation from the various organizations to be tested will not exceed three to five members, equating to 73 persons. All supporting representatives getting testing will be in compliance with the Covid 19 protocols, which include wearing a mask and maintaining a distance of 6 feet spacing.
3) This symbolic conversion, bike ride, and protest are tributes to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., George Floyd, and others who were victims of Injustice and Inequality. This community bike ride/protest is to promote health, freedom, justice and equality.
This silent protest is aligned with the First Amendment guidelines. All participants will be in compliance with the synchronicity of the traffic lights that governs street motion and DOT guidelines.

All testing patients will be required to fill out and submit a testing authorization form before the examination starts. Please download and fill out the PDF form below and have it ready to present it to the testing coordinator at the test site.
Covid 19 testing will be on a first come basis and will depend on the availability of testing items. Secondly, this event and bike ride will be done in accordance with rights granted by the FIRST AMENDMENT. Thirdly, all cyclists will be required to wear a helmet and other protective cycling equipment for safety.
All participating cyclists will be required to submit a signed registration form on the day of the event. This form can be found on the cyclist registration page of this website. NO REGISTRATION FEE REQUIRED!!
Inner City Cycling Connection, Inc. will have motorcycle street guards to assist with traffic safety and to facilitate an easy flow of the cyclists.
Everyone participating in this event will be required to wear a face mask and must maintain a six feet spacing distance between each other.
